TRP Ratings of Week 46 (9th November 2014 to 15th November 2014)

TVT and GVT Ratings of Indian Television Shows
(TAM Ratings for week 46, 2014) 

In the week 46 of TAM TV ratings, Most of the general entertainment channels (GECs) saw a growth in their viewership.

Chart topper Star Plus continues to be the number one with 658 million GVTs, up from 610 million GVTs. Despite a drop, Colors continues its strong run at number two with 483 million GVTs, down from 486 million GVTs.

Like always, ‘weekend ka wow’ with Salman Khan in tonight’s episode of Bigg Boss 8 had the wow factor indeed. The host of the show was in his usual element where he grilled the contestants turn by turn. It started with Gautam Gulati and ended with Dimpy Mahajan. The best moment though? When Salman referred to Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Aamir Khan’s PK to make a point. Interested?

Keeping up with its trend of getting a controversial international celebrity, 'Bigg Boss' is apparently now trying to rope in Kim Kardashian. The reality star is currently in news for her topless pictures, shot for a magazine, that have gone viral.

Mahira Hafeez Khan: I am not ready for nudity

From a cashier at a store in LA to becoming a VJ, Pakistani actress Mahira Hafeez Khan always dreamt of coming in front of the camera. Even though it was Mahira's first visit to India, the actress says she knows a lot about the country. Mahira, who was recently in Lucknow, spoke to us about her journey, her take on Indian television and Bollywood films.

Lucknow connection

"My dad was born in Delhi. While I was studying in Los Angeles, I met Aditi Srivastava, who is from Lucknow and is still a very close friend of mine. It was she who taught me everything I know about Lucknow - for example the usage of 'hum' for a singular person. She often used that word and I used to find it amusing when she used the word for a a single person. She later explained that 'hum' means 'main' in Lucknow," shared Mahira.

Aashka Goradia: I does not mind playing mother to Ssharad Malhotraa

Aashka who is playing a stepmother to the grown up Maharana Pratap in the show 'Bharat Ka Veer Putra... Maharana Pratap 'feels that she has actually shed weight and feels even better and ready with the leap in the show. She says, "I would never have agreed to the leap had it been any other show. But since it is a historical show and I received a lot of appreciation for my character, I felt that playing mother would be okay. Ssharad might be my age or younger I am not aware of that. But if Tabu can Shahid Kapoor's mother in Haider, I am sure I can play mom to Ssharad in the show."

High-octane action sequence in final episodes of 'Tumhari Pakhi'

The makers of the TV show, 'Tumhari Pakhi' have decided to culminate the show, which is coming to an end in a week's time, on a high. They have planned a high-octane action sequence between Varun Badola and the newest entry Vijay Badlani. The fight sequence is a part of the final episodes of the show.

Says Vijay, "We shot an action sequence for the climax of the show recently. I ask Varun to meet me at an isolated temple to tell him that I want to marry Nandini, but the real motive is to kill him. The sequence involves a lot of car chase, running, kicking, punching and guns."

Known for his stunts in the historical show Bharat Ka Veer Putra Maharana Pratap, Faisal is now all set to entertain the audience with his dancing skills on Sony TV's CID.

Bigg Boss 8: Gautam is the new captain; displeased Puneet calls him Rottweiler

Puneet Issar and Gautam Gulati have stood for each other during thick and thin. However, looks like their friendship is not able to stand strong during the testing times.

Puneet, who has always supported Gautam will be seen back-stabbing him with Ali after Gautam's fight with Pritam and Praneet. Gautam, who has now become the new captain of the house will be seen calling a meeting to distribute the household work. However, Pritam refuses to be a part of the meeting. Looking at the situation Puneet tells Ali that after one messes up the things how can you expect everything to be fine in the house until you try and sort out the problems. Puneet was referring to the fact that Gautam was wrong in the fight.

Salman Khan is one of the USP of the show and has been hosting Bigg Boss since five years. The actor is known for speaking his mind and giving right dose to the contestants.

TVT and GVT Ratings of Indian Television Shows
(TAM Ratings for week 45, 2014) 

After a good show where all the general entertainment channels (GECs) witnessed a rise in the viewership, week 45 of TAM TV ratings had a different story to tell. Most of the GECs observed a fall in the ratings.

Chart topper Star Plus observed a significant fall and reported 609,924 GVTs, down from 655,032 GVTs. Colors continued its strong hold at number two with 485,940 GVTs, up from 456,890 GVTs.
